OLD SCHOOL – Classic English IPA

English IPA

A classic English IPA. Its deep copper colour and carefully prepared grist of seven different malts bring layered notes of toast, nuts and biscuits. We brewed this beer with three iconic British hop varieties — Challenger, East Kent Goldings and Fuggles — cultivars that have formed the backbone of English brewing for decades. The aroma reveals classic floral, earthy and gently tobacco-like nuances, while the finish is defined by a firm yet refined bitterness. We also used traditional British yeast to best capture the authentic character of the style, bringing delicate fruity esters that beautifully enrich the hop profile.

OLD SCHOOL vs. NEW SCHOOL!

Classic beer styles brewed by us in pairs — one rooted in tradition, the other interpreted through a modern approach. Try both and discover how beer evolves as techniques, ingredients and brewing knowledge evolve over time.

The true taste of brewing heritage.

Our Classic English IPA is a deep tribute to the history and brewing roots of Great Britain. With a solid backbone built on a 15° Plato extract and 6.5% ABV, it delivers a rich and multi-layered drinking experience. The noble, distinct bitterness derived from legendary British hops never overwhelms the palate, instead perfectly balancing the sweet caramel-and-biscuit malt base. This is a beer for those who appreciate elegance, good old-fashioned craftsmanship and authenticity in the world of craft beer.

What to serve Classic English IPA with?

The traditional British interpretation of the style makes this beer a natural companion to food. Its nutty, earthy and floral character pairs beautifully with roasted dark meats, a classic Sunday roast or rich meat stews. Our Classic English IPA is also an excellent match for mature and expressive cheeses, especially a traditional aged Cheddar. To fully release its fruity esters and malt complexity, we recommend serving it in a nonic pint glass at a slightly warmer temperature — ideally around 10–12°C.

Be sure to try its counterpart from the series — Hazy English IPA.
