William

English Barley Wine

Barley Wine is a beer in which malt plays first fiddle. We used as many as seven different malts from three different countries and four top malt houses. We put only the malt into the kettle! We added neither sugar nor malt extract to the initial extract, we didn’t use any lactose – the spirit of craft save us! – to create powerful body of William.

The aroma is dominated by red stone fruits: cherries and sour cherries. After a while, when the beer opens up a little, notes of nuts and caramel appear. In its taste you will encounter a pleasant sweetness, reminiscent of toffee and toasted bread crust. The whole is balanced with bitterness.

The alcohol warms you up but it doesn’t burn you. After swallowing, notes of coffee remain on the tongue, which is somewhat surprising for this style.
