Our New IPA – Double New England IPA

Double New England IPA

This Double New England IPA comes in strong — packed with juicy hop character and a massive flavor punch!
The fun starts with the grist. While Pilsner malt lays down the base, it’s the adjuncts that really elevate the texture: wheat flakes, oat flakes, and oat malt. Thanks to this combo, the beer pours with a mouthfeel like a velvety tropical smoothie — thick, creamy, and extremely drinkable.

The aroma and flavor are built through multiple hopping stages, featuring a standout trio:
Talus – a close relative of Sabro, delivering notes of mango, rose, and pink grapefruit,
HBC 630 – an experimental variety bursting with candied berries and subtle cherry aromas,
Ahtanum – a lesser-known, classic American hop with a mandarin citrus twist; a favorite from our homebrewing days.

And the cherry on top? YCH 805 — a hop oil extract from Yakima Chief Hops, still unnamed and available only to a few select breweries worldwide. Added during cold-side hopping, it unleashes an aromatic explosion and a subtle, oily texture on the finish.
Fermentation was equally meticulous. We used a yeast strain known for producing fruity esters that seamlessly blend with the hops. The result? A bold, juicy beer with depth — smooth and fruit-forward, but never cloying.
