The 25th Talia Comedy Festival with the Trzech Kumpli Brewery

The 25th jubilee Talia Comedy Festival organized since 1997 in Tarnów, of which we had the honor of being a partner, has ended. The audience and the jury attended eight performances during the competition. The jury chaired by Agata Duda-Gracz recognized „Dobrze się kłamie” directed by Marcin Hycnar as the best performance. All events had a record turnout – in total over six thousand tickets were sold.
The festival started on September 3rd with an outdoor show entitled “Piękna Lucynda“. Among the performances presented between 17 and 25 September, the jury composed of Agata Duda-Gracz – president, Jolanta Drużyńska, Edward Linde-Lubaszenko, Cezary Domagała – awarded the following prizes and awards:
* Grand Prix, statuette of Talia awarded to the show „Dobrze się kłamie” directed by Marcin Hycnar, TitoProductions, Spektaklove of Warsaw: for the workshop and the taste, for arousing laughter, not guffawing, for the respect and tolerance towards all otherness.
* prize awarded to the team of actors for an excellent collective performance in the play “Rewizor” directed by Mikołaj Grabowski, Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński Bagatela Theater in Krakow,
* prize awarded to Piotr Sieklucki for acting and directing the play “Kazik, ja tylko żartowałem” of the Teatr Nowy Proxima in Krakow.
The ALE AKTOR! prize, funded by the Krakow branch of the Association of Polish Stage Artists, was awarded to Katarzyna Koziorz for the role of Morfina in the play “Circus Kafka” of the Teatr Żydowski (Jewish Theater) in Warsaw.
The winner of the Audience Prize was “Mayday” from the L. Solski Theater in Tarnów directed by Tadeusz Łomnicki, followed by „Kazik, ja tylko żartowałem” by Nowy Proxima Theater and „Dobrze się kłamie” produced by TitoProductions / Spektaklove.
In the foyer, it was possible to see over a hundred photographs from all previous editions of the festival, which dates back to October 1997. The author of the poster accompanying the TALIA 2021 festival is Andrzej DUDI Dudziński.
The closing gala of the festival was accompanied by the tasting of our beers: Pan IPAni in Pils.
