How the climate catastrophe is changing beer

For the umpteenth year in a row, global warming has been causing the harvests of hops and barley to decline, and the availability of water has been also decreasing. Threrefore the basic ingredients for beer production are decreasing. Could this mean that beer will become a luxury good in the future and regional varieties will disappear?

Piotr Sosin, head brewer from the Trzech Kumpli brewery and vice-president of the Polish Association of Craft Breweries, talks about how the brewing industry is trying to cope with the challenges of the climate catastrophe.
